Overview

Our Level 3 Safeguarding Train the Trainer course is designed to enable those attending to confidently train their in-house teams.  During the course delegates will receive expert tuition from our team of experienced Trainers.

Attendees will learn how to deliver our own safeguarding course, with a view to them using our materials in their own internal delivery post training.  Every person attending will also be assessed delivering a short micro teach to achieve a formal sign off of competence.

Objectives

By the end of the session delegates will be able to:

• Define the terms ‘safeguarding’ and ‘adult at risk’
• Discuss safeguarding in the news
• Understand the criminal offence of ‘ill treatment and wilful neglect’
• Outline the role of the disclosure and barring services
• Define the articles of the Human Rights Act 1998
• List different types of abuse through definition, types and indicators
• Explain the term ‘whistleblowing’ and who can help
• Understand your ‘duty of candour’
