Dementia training for care workers is essential to provide the highest standards of care. To meet this need we are pleased to be able to offer an accredited Level 3 Dementia Awareness training course.
This course covers all aspects of our Level 2 Dementia course, but includes additional practical activities designed to give delegates a deeper understanding of living with dementia as well as more in-depth content and robust assessment criteria.
This course is externally accredited and is mapped to the Dementia Training Standards Framework.
Delegates attending this course will be able to:
✓ List the different types of Dementia
✓ Demonstrate person-centered values in dementia care
✓ Explain how to support positive interaction
✓ Explain what equality, diversity and inclusion is and its importance
✓ Understand the importance of choice rights of those living with dementia

We do however also appreciate that planning training with an external training provider and organising rotas can be a challenge (to say the least). To offer an alternative to alleviate this issue we offer the option of us training your staff to be able to train your own internal teams. If you are interested in having your own in house Dementia Trainer, we also offer a Level 3 Dementia Train the Trainer course and dates for this training can be found here below the course description
