Course Description
Overview
When caring for someone approaching End of Life, every situation is unique and very personal. There are different approaches to assisting an individual with End of Life care, and this course gives you the skills and knowledge you need to identify the best one for palliative circumstances. This course provides you with the knowledge and skills to cope with confidence at this sensitive time.
This course takes 30-45 minutes to complete. It comprises a mixture of engaging activities. Once the course is completed, you will be asked to complete a multiple-choice assessment. You will be given a certificate to acknowledge the passing of the course.

- Open discussions with staff regarding their experiences of End of Life Care
- A breakdown of the types of care that are required of different staff groups
- How to provide high-quality End of Life Care services
- The best way to communicate effectively with everybody involved in this unique situation
- How to recognise when a service user is nearing End of Life
- When and how to provide practical bereavement support when it’s needed
