Oral Hygiene

A recent CQC report identified in their publication "Smiling Matters" that too many people living in Care Homes are not being supported to maintain and improve their Oral Health. 

The report found that three years on from the publication of the NICE guidelines, oral health was stil not a priority. In order to get an understanding of the guidlelines and CQC recommendations, our level 2 Oral Hygiene course 

 is designed to: 

- Assist Individuals with basic procedures and denture care

- How to recognise any issues individuals will have such as dental disease

-To outline potential effects of poor oral hygiene on an individuals health and wellbeing

- To provide strategies around oral hygiene for staff when individuals have dementia or behavioural issues 

- To have an understanding of NICE guidelines and CQC recommendations 

- The know how to promote good oral hygiene when someone is receiving end of life care


Run as a three hour course for a maximum of 15 delegates per course, we could offer two courses in one day for as little as £13.33 per delegate plus VAT
