Overview

This course is designed to increase learners’ understanding of self-harm, its causes, and how to support those affected.

This course explores why individuals may engage in self-harm, the impact it has on their well-being, and the help they may need to prevent future harm.

The course also explores techniques of how to provide emotional support to young people, particularly those who may feel isolated, and understand how connection and care can make a positive difference in their recovery.

This course takes 30-45 minutes to complete and compromises a mixture of engaging activities with theoretical knowledge, enhancing leaners’ understanding on self-harming behaviours.

Upon completion of the course, there will be a multiple-choice assessment and once achieved, a certificate of acknowledgement will be presented.
