Overview
Autism is defined as a set of neurodevelopmental symptoms of varying severity that tend to remain with a person throughout their entire life. No two people living on the Autism Spectrum are ever the same, with the symptoms varying and presenting in different ways depending upon the individual.
This course is designed to support learners with the knowledge of common symptoms relating to the Autism Spectrum, while developing skills of how to care for individuals living with common Autistic characteristics and support them live as independently as possible.
This course takes 30-45 minutes to complete and comprises a mixture of engaging activities with theoretical knowledge, enhancing learners’ understanding of the Autism Spectrum and how to manage individualised symptoms that an individual living with Autism may be experiencing.
