Overview

Coming across an individual that struggles with epilepsy in your care is not uncommon. You are required to recognise subtle symptoms and anticipate possible acute, physical reactions. The neurological disorder is triggered by abnormal electrical activity in the brain, and it is essential that you know how you can best anticipate seizures.

This course equips you with the knowledge and skills to notice the signs of a seizure. Some warning signs can tell you a seizure is imminent. When you know these and have developed robust and open communication with the individual, you’ll be better placed to deal with the outcome.

This course takes 30-45 minutes to complete. It comprises a mixture of engaging activities. Once the course is completed, you will be asked to complete a multiple-choice assessment. You will be given a certificate to acknowledge the passing of the course.
