All employees are required to know how to identify and reduce the risk of fire in the workplace. This is where your team will be trained in a better understanding of Fire Safety in the workplace - how to prevent it, how to protect others and the environment, how it affects them and what actions to take in the event of a fire.
It’s vital that every member of the staff team knows how to assess fire risks in the workplace. UK law has changed in recent years in regard to this, and this course updates your team in every aspect of fire prevention and action. Emergency planning and response is based largely on prior knowledge and team learning, and to this end we aim to equip your team with the right knowledge and skills to deal with a fire at work.
Working together, they will gain through practical demonstrations, discussion and interaction a better awareness of Fire Safety in the workplace. It is a fundamental requisite to safety at work; without your team’s awareness, your business might be quite literally ‘playing with fire’.

An explanation of the importance of Fire Safety
Training in how a fire can spread
Basic Fire Safety training
Emergency planning and response in the event of fire
Fire prevention and protection practices
Training in the storage and use of highly flammable liquids in the workplace
Fire risk assessment
Updated education of Fire Safety laws.
This half-day course comprises an engaging mix of activities with fellow learners (maximum fifteen delegates). You’ll be asked to complete a simple multiple-choice assessment after you take the course. You will receive a certificate once you have passed the assessment.
